US-Australian Dialogue on Water Management and Drought 2016
The US-Australia Dialogue on Water Management and Drought was held on February 5 in Los Angeles, presented by the State Governments of Victoria and New South Wales in partnership with the Office of California Governor Jerry Brown and the Milken Institute.
The day-long conference built on a series of water policy and technology forums held in California under G’Day USA in recent years, sharing the globally recognized innovative solutions to water conservation and drought management from Australian companies and policy makers. President pro tempore of the California Senate Kevin de León delivered the keynote address and expert panels discussed applying Australian water/drought solutions to California, water markets/rights , agriculture water reforms, urban water management and innovative water technologies. More than 150 high-level officials attended including American and Australian policy makers, water companies, industry associations, farming companies, water scientists, academics, water infrastructure specialists, climatologists, investors and economists, business and national security experts.
