We have made deliberate decisions to ensure that all aspects of our fishing and trading operations are as environmentally sustainable as possible, ensuring a secure future for our company, our employees, our customers and of course, our fisheries.
Our branded seafood products are the ultimate choice in terms of seafood sustainability. Glacier 51 Toothfish is certified sustainable and well managed by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and rated ‘Best Choice’ by the Monterey Bay Aquarium’s Seafood Watch Program. Skull Island Tiger prawns are certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council and in 2016, Austral and its branded products were certified Carbon Neutral, a world first for the seafood industry. A total of 190,000 native trees are planted in Australia annually to cover our emissions. We are doing our part for the planet.
